Massive road and building construction going on outside made transporting everything from the Warehouse into the theater a physical and technical challenge.

Cinnabar is proud to have built and installed
"Monsterfest! The Beetlejuice Graveyard Review",
one of three major attractions Cinnabar installed at the new park. Designed and built at our facility in Burbank California, the entire set was constructed of small subsections that allowed for complete reassembly in Japan...after fitting it through some standard sized doors into the theater.

A rockin' and rollin' musical stage show featuring Beetlejuice, as the wackiest DJ ever. A 67' stage of steelworks and fiberglass, hydraulic elevators, smoke, fire and special effects that explodes into action daily at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka.

The "Wacky Crew from Wakamiya" made our time in Osaka a joy.
Long, dirty days in incredible heat and humidity would wash away in the cool evening breezes during our frequent outdoor Japanese-style BBQ's on nearby Sakurajima Island. Muriyama's Nobu Tanaka (in the blue shirt) would entertain Chris Hawkes (above Nobu) and the crew with his razor sharp wit, enthusiasm and frequently unintelligible gesturing.
"Summimasen ga. Nihongo wa zenzen dekimashita. So desu ne!"
"Toss another tentacle on the barbie mate, and don't forget the cabbage."
