Although 90% of what Cinnabar does is unique in some way, the Stoli Hotel is in a class of its own. There was an unusual degree of collaboration both internally and with outside clients Legacy Marketing Partners, who contracted this event, and PompeiAD who were instrumental in the concept and general design. Hats off to everyone involved for making the difficult look easy.
Among the challenging issues we had to deal with, portability, scaleability and durability were key parameters that had to be considered at every step of the way. Since this event was scheduled to travel nationally via truck and trailer, even the very beginning of the design process was concerned with how these elements were going to travel. Also, without knowing the layout of any particular venue, all the major elements had to have the ability to be shuffled around in relation to each other in the space, including disappearing altoghether while maintaining integrity. From L.A. to Chicago to San Francisco to New York to Miami and beyond, construction and materials had to be considered for heavy wear. Also considered was the ease of installation. No two crews would be alike so everything had to come together with no additional on-site construction.
Designed to have the feel of a Russian hotel, there were quite a few elements which fit into the space of about 10,000 sq.ft. There is an entryway where you, as the guest, check in. Down a long hallway you go through a vestibule which leads to the full-service bar area. Around the way were 5 distinct rooms themed to the different flavors of vodka Stolichnaya was promoting. In addition, there was a spa are for massages or other services. As earlier stated, no two venues would be alike so who knows how things will be set up next.
